BUR BUR x Marmalade Grove: An Overnight Escape in Ojai for The Muse

On October 1, we brought friends and muses together in Ojai to celebrate the launch of The Muse: Perfecting Styling Cream. Guests stayed overnight at Hotel El Roblar, and we served dinner al fresco at Marmalade Grove, our partner for the trip. The night was produced by our event producers, For Services Of.

We wanted the night to feel intimate, inspired, rooted in its surroundings, with season food, citrus, candlelight and music.

After a cocktail hour in the grove, Chef Brian Lee of Marenost served a seated dinner among the citrus trees. Back at the hotel, the night ended with martinis, dessert and vinyl by DJ Hayes Bradley in the Mariposa Room at Hotel El Roblar.

The details

Every guest took home a gift box with a custom jar of Marmalade Grove jam created specifically for the launch. The flavor, Valencia Orange and Bergamot, was chosen to echo notes in the Perfecting Styling Cream.

Artist Sarah Kersting drew a live portrait sketch of each guest to take home.
