How to use the set on wash day
The minis follow our sandwich method. You start with oil and mask, then cleanse and condition. Follow the steps in this order.
Hair oil
Apply the Botanical Hair Treatment to dry hair. Massage it gently into your scalp, then cover your hair from root to tip. Leave it on for at least 45 minutes. For best results, leave it on for two hours or more.
Deep Repair Mask
Don’t rinse out the oil first. Work a generous amount of the mask straight over it, through your mid-lengths and ends. Leave it on for 5 to 10 minutes.
Nourishing Shampoo
Wet your hair thoroughly and apply shampoo to your scalp. Massage gently and work the lather through the lengths. Rinse well. If your hair is fine, shampoo a second time.
Nourishing Conditioner
Squeeze out the extra water. Apply conditioner from mid-lengths to ends and keep it off your scalp. Leave it on for 2 to 3 minutes, then rinse until your hair feels light and soft.
Detangle
Gently work through your hair with The Mermaid Brush Mini Wet Detangling Brush, starting at the ends and moving up toward your roots. If you have wavy or curly hair, see the tip below.

Comb through during the conditioner step
If your hair is wavy or curly, move the detangle step into step 4. Comb through while the Nourishing Conditioner sits for its 2 to 3 minutes, then rinse. The conditioner is there to restore moisture and help prevent breakage, so you comb through hair that is still conditioned instead of waiting until it is rinsed out.

Use a wide-tooth comb or The Mermaid Brush Mini Wet Detangling Brush while the conditioner is still in your hair.

Divide your hair into sections and clip away the ones you are not working on.

Comb each section from the ends up, a little at a time.

When every section is done, rinse out the conditioner.
